This tour will be conducted by an official guide and a
sommelier and will accomodate your own culinary interests
and travel schedule.
We will go to the Mercato Centrale, the bustling central market
of FLORENCE in the S.Lorenzo quarter
and shop for the regional and seasonal best food and wines;
we will also go where only the Florentine women have gone for
food for generations and where mass tourism does not exist.
We will learn Tuscan gastronomical
secrets, such as how to prepare crostinis, ribollita and pappa
soups, how to use extra-virgin olive oil, and how to taste Chianti
wines from the famous hills of Tuscany. We will cross
the city in search of the most typical recipes and, if you wish,
you can get to know the best places for a quick lunch or a smart
dinner.
Pecorino cheese, olive oil and wine tastings in the most ancient
Chianti farmhouses may be organised upon request.
