From 21 September 2018 to 20 January 2019 the prestigious Palazzo Strozzi hosts a unique retrospective bringing together more than a hundred works ranging from the 1970s to the 2000s by Marina Abramovich, one of the most famous contemporary artist whose works test the body and its potential to the limit.
The exhibition includes videos, photographs, paintings, objects, installation and live re-creations or her most famous performances held by a group of performers specially chosen and trained for this occasion. Marina Abramovich is one of the most controversial artist who commits to grueling theatrical and conceptual pieces and whose influence is as far reaching as to inspire superstars Lady Gaga and Jay Z
After Ai Weiwei and Bill Viola, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi will provide an integrated exhibition space giving Marina Abramovi the first opportunity to interact with Renaissance architecture highlighting the close relationship she always had with Italy
This retrospective is a must-see
